The Healthy Start Program (HSP) provides payment for health-care benefits to eligible low-income pregnant women, providing them with early, continuous, and comprehensive prenatal, postpartum, and maternity care.

You are eligible if you:

• are a pregnant woman and are a resident of Massachusetts;
• are not otherwise eligible for any other MassHealth coverage type, other than MassHealth Limited;
• are not insured for medical care or have health-care insurance that does not cover all medically necessary pregnancy-related care offered by HSP;
• have a family income up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Level; and

You must notify MassHealth at 1-800-841-2900 when your pregnancy has ended.
